Two well-known architects, Manuel Schumacher and Romain Schmiz, each ran their own practice as neighbors. Following Schmiz’s passing, the two agencies merged. We were asked to create a logo that honored their legacy, reflected the merger, and represented their combined expertise in architecture, interior design, and urban planning.
solution
We designed a minimalist black-and-white logo featuring an “S” and a “+” formed by two brackets, visible in negative space, symbolizing structure, union, and continuity. The visual identity was extended to stationery and a clean, functional website.
results
A timeless, architectural brand that unites heritage and modernity, positioning Schumacher + Schmiz as a trusted and forward-looking practice.
